In 1976, archaeologist J.J. van Dijk discovered a tablet containing a series of jokes. The tablet is believed to date to 1500 B.C. and is said to have been written by a student. One particular joke makes a casual reference to one’s mother. Thought the tablet is heavily fragmented, the line; “…of your mother is by the one who has intercourse with her. What/who is it?” can be read. As such, many are informally referring to it as the oldest ‘your mom’ joke in history.
